Residency
Dancing Shiva Tantra Monastery & Healing Center is an active queer-friendly tantra monastery and healing center located at Earthaven Ecovillage. Events, gatherings and visitors are common at Dancing Shiva March through October.
We offer two types of Residency:
Work/Trade
We seek to welcome work exchangers who share an interest in living and practicing a spiritual path and being in service to the gifts that the monastery offers to the world, as well as participating in community living in our larger container of Earthaven. We will prioritize candidates with experience in gardening, carpentry, maintenance, land based living and those who will participate in our contemplative practices. One month minimum commitment, with an initial two week trial period.

Hours: 12 hrs/week for Dancing Shiva plus 4 hrs/week for Earthaven
Costs: $200/month for shared meal plan - includes 8 shared meals. You are responsible for the rest of your food needs. We also require a one-time refundable deposit of $200. Earthaven fees are $50/month, plus a one-time $25 administrative fee.
You receive: Lodging in a tiny house, which includes bedroom, living room, and kitchen. You will also have access to shared gardens, temple spaces, internet, indoor or outdoor shower facilities, and indoor and outdoor compost toilet.
Rental
Our Tiny House available now for a 3 or 6 month lease. We seek to welcome renters who share an interest in living and practicing a spiritual path and being in service to the gifts that the monastery offers to the world, as well as participating in community living in our larger container of Earthaven. The rental space is a 270 sq.ft., furnished tiny home with its own kitchen, bedroom, and living area. Shared internet, indoor or outdoor shower facilities and indoor and outdoor compost toilet. You will have access to the neighborhood’s ample gardens and multiple temple spaces. We will prioritize residents who will participate in community meals and our morning contemplative practices. The lease term begins after an initial two-week trial period.

Costs: $750/ month rent plus $200/mo for optional shared meal plan (includes 8 community meals). Firewood and propane included. $200 refundable deposit required. There is an option to do work-trade for a portion of the rent. Living at Earthaven requires 4 hours/week community service per adult, a one-time administrative fee of $25 per adult, and $50/month in fees.
